The fresco method of painting was used in Roman times and by the great masters of the Italian Renaissance including Giotto, Masaccio, and Michelangelo. The surface goes through a series of changes with the use of plaster, egg tempera, and when completely dry I will apply oil pigments and cold wax. Many times imagery is painted but then buried under the layers. These paintings resemble old “muri” (walls).
I paint the essence not the details, I seek expression rather than perfection!
All of my paintings are experimental. I will try everything as I did in these paintings. Contact me if you want to know more.
