Abstract Art

Frescoes

The fresco method of painting was used in Roman times and by the great masters of the Italian Renaissance including Giotto, Masaccio, and Michelangelo. The surface goes through a series of changes with the use of plaster, egg tempera, and when completely dry I will apply oil pigments and cold wax. Many times imagery is painted but then buried under the layers. These paintings resemble old “muri” (walls).
